What is Continuity Vault?
Continuity Vault is a technology continuity and zero-knowledge key escrow service designed for solo founders, business owners, and engineering leads. It ensures that if the sole person holding key infrastructure access is incapacitated, the business's domains, servers, databases, and billing platforms can be safely inherited by authorized guardians.
How does zero-knowledge key escrow work?
Credentials inside Continuity Vault are encrypted client-side using threshold cryptography. Encryption keys are split among multiple parties (you, designated human guardians, and Continuity Vault). No single party holds a complete key alone, meaning even a complete breach of Continuity Vault servers exposes zero readable data.
What is the human-authorized release protocol?
Regular check-ins keep the vault sealed. If a check-in is missed, a countdown begins and designated human guardians (such as a spouse, co-founder, or attorney) are notified. Secret key shares are only combined to release credentials after active confirmation by your human guardians. A timer alone never releases your vault.
